Across the Catawba River in Fort Mill, a new sign just went up along Fort Mill Parkway for a Town Square facility. Town Square is a senior day care concept that provides activities and services for seniors with or without dementia. Town Square at Fort Mill will, according to its website, utilize a “reminiscence-based” approach where activities and “storefront” areas recreate a mid-20th century American town.
RAD has been contracted to complete this +/- 8,000 SF upfit based on the Town Square Corporate branding and prototypical documents.
TOWN SQUARE WILL BRING REMINISCENCE-BASED ADULT DAY MEMORY CARE SERVICES TO YORK COUNTY

Our center is designed to recreate the sensory experience of an American town from the middle of the 20th century. Our unique activity areas, called storefronts, and the rest of our aesthetic underpin our adult day services based on the dementia care modality of reminiscence therapy.
